NWIFCA are hosting three open stakeholder events for Byelaw 3.

These events are your opportunity to discuss with our officers any topic relating to our management of the district’s cockle and mussel fisheries.

It is also an opportunity to discuss the Byelaw 3 consultations NWIFCA are currently running or are due to launch in the coming weeks:

• Cockle FMP (open until March 2026)
• Minimum Use Policy (open until 4th January 2026)
• Cockle Early Open Season Trial (launching in January 2026)

If you would like to issue a formal response to any of the above consultations at these events, please contact our office to arrange this.

• Wednesday 14th January 2026, 9:30-11:30am, Wallasey Beach Club, Coastal Drive, Wallasey, CH45 3PZ
• Friday 16th January, 9:30-11:30am, The Main Hall, Victoria Hall, Grange-over-Sands, LA11 6DP
• Wednesday 4th March, 12:30-2:30pm, The Visitors Centre, 17 Nant Alyn Road, Rhydymwyn, Flintshire, CH7 5HQ

You can drop in at any time during any of the two-hour events, or attend for the full duration. No need to let us know ahead of time if you’re attending, unless you wish to formally respond to any of the abovementioned consultations.
