Flexible Permit Conditions and tides are now available.

July FPCs and Tides

Following the online consultation for Pilling Cockle Fishery, there was an overwhelming majority in favour of a Monday to Friday opening, one tide per day.

Flexible Permit Conditions will be made available in due to course to all Byelaw 3 permit holders

30th May 2025

Following the TSB meeting on the 29th May 2025, the Authority took the decision to open Pilling cockle bed as of 1st July 2025 until 28th Feb 2026, for one tide a day, five days a week.

Please note the following:

• The days on the which the fishery will be opened have not been determined. Further consultation and communication will be sent out to stakeholders in due course.
• All other beds in Morecambe Bay will be resurveyed this summer with further recommendations being brought to the Authority in August regarding their opening.
• There is no Total Allowable Catch (TAC) applied to this fishery currently.
