Morecambe Bay Fisheries 2025

Following the TSB meeting on the 29th May 2025, the authority took the decision to open Pilling Cockle bed as of July 1st 2025 to Feb 28th 2026, for one tide a day, five days a week.

Please note the following

• The days on the which the fishery will be opened have not been determined. Further communication will be sent out to stakeholders in due course.
• All other beds in Morecambe bay will be resurveyed this summer with further recommendations being brought to the authority in August regarding their opening.
• There is no TAC currently applied to this fishery.
