Trevor Jones

Trevor Jones has been mucking about in boats for the last fifty years and more. One of his deeply held passions is sustainable seafood. Formerly a member of the North West and North Wales Sea Fisheries Committee, his interest in being a member of the NWIFCA is driven by the opportunity to help create equitable management measures driven by the vision of the IFCA, namely:

“Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities will lead, champion and manage a sustainable marine environment and inshore fisheries, by successfully securing the right balance between social, environmental and economic benefits to ensure healthy seas, sustainable fisheries and a viable industry.”

He is also passionate about safety at sea and is an active Sea Fish Industry Approved Instructor delivering safety training to fishermen, thereby enabling them to attain their under 16.5 metre skipper’s ticket.

He holds a Republic of Ireland Skipper Full ticket and a UK Class One (Fishing) Certificate of Equivalent Competence.

“There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that is better than mucking about in boats”.
